Year of Swaps, 2015: May on the Beach

“You’re so boring!” Blair complained as she paced around me.

This month, Blair had decided to put me in the body of Sango, a demon slayer from an ancient time. I was worried I’d have to fend of a horde of demons while in this body, but Sango’s friend Miroku assured me I wouldn’t have to do anything this month and that their friends would take care of it.

Because of my newfound freedom, I felt comfortable enough to try out going to the beach for the first time in months. I picked out a white bikini and rested on a lounge chair under some shade.

Due to Blair’s complaining, I turned over to look at her and said, “What are you complaining about?”

“I thought seeing you adjust to new bodies every month would be interesting, but with you, it’s just like putting on a new set of clothes; just so boring!”

“Well, I have been doing this sort of thing for a long time now. I’ve gotten used to it.”

“Well, you could at least give me something juicy once in a while!”

“I’m not interested in that, Blair. I just want to live an ordinary life, despite the extraordinary circumstances.” I then got up and said, “I’m going to get a snack.”

I walked over to a shack a few meters away and ordered a drink and ice cream. I sat there enjoying my snack for a few minutes before I heard, “Oh, wow!”

I turned and saw Noble staring at me. I couldn’t see his eyes due to the shades he wore, but I kept my smile and said, “Hi, Noble. Can I help you with something?”

“Oh, good, you recognize me. Anyway, would you go out with me?”

“What?! But I…”

“I know, you said you were with Miroku, but since you haven’t gotten engaged yet, you could still go out with other guys.”

“Look, Noble, I don’t think you…”

“Come on; just one date! Is that really too much to ask?”

(A few hours later)

I ran down the beach as Noble chased me, still believing I was Sango. “Come on, Sango! I just want one date!!”

“I’m telling you, that’s not the best idea right now!!”

“But I swear I won’t do anything weird!!”

“What’s going on?” Blair asked as we approached her.

“This doesn’t involve you, Cat!” Noble said. He then dropped on one knee and asked, “Please, Sango, make me a happy man and go on one date with me! Why is that so hard for you to do?”

“If you would let me get a word in, I’d tell you!”

Before I could explain, Blair started laughing, rolling over on her back in the process. Noble shot her a look and asked, “What’s so funny?”

“That’s not Sango!” Blair answered between laughs.

“...What? But she looks so much like Sango.”

I then answered, “I’m Kuro, Noble; Blair here switched my body with Sango’s for the month, just like with Honey in January.”

“Oh…oh! Sorry, I didn’t know!!” Noble said as he apologized. “It’s just…I’ve always thought Sango was a knockout. I kind of can't control myself very well around her. Is there any way you could forgive me?”

I looked at Noble and said, “Well, I could put in a good word for you to Sango in June when I get a new body.”

“Really?” Noble asked. He then trapped me in a hug and ssaid, “Thanks a lot, pal!”

“Um…Noble…don’t hug so tight…you’re squeezing my breasts!”

Noble quicly released me nad said, “Oh, sorry!”

“I’ve changed my mind; you’re definitely worth keeping my eye on for the rest of the year!” Blair asid as she tried to stop herself from laughing.

Noble then glared at Blair and said, “Hey, Kuro, do you mind if I skin this cat alive for humiliating the both of us?”

With a dark smile, I told him, “Go ahead.”

“Hey, no fair!” Blair shouted as she ran away, being chased by Noble all along the beach. I sat back down in my lounge chair and took a sip of my drink as I said, “Hey, you said you wanted more excitement.”
